      Search Results
    The Search Results window lists the pages you've saved in SurfSaver. You can view, copy, move, export, or delete pages from the Search Results window.

    After you search using SurfSaver, your browser screen will split into two. The top part of the screen displays the first Web page that matched your search request. The Search Results window appears in the bottom part of your screen. This window displays a list of the titles and dates of pages selected by your search request. Click on any entry in this list, and the page is displayed in the top part of the screen.


    Buttons in the Search Results Window

      Displays the Search dialog and lets you enter a search request.


      Displays the Edit dialog. From this dialog you can edit the field information for the selected page. You can edit the title, keywords, notes, and date. You can move, copy, delete, go to the URL, copy the URL, and save the page as an HTML file. See Edit dialog for a complete description.

      NOTE: You can also access the commands available in the Edit dialog by right clicking on a Web page title listed in the Search Results.


      Displays your SurfSaver version number.

      (Previous Page / Next Page)
      Lets you navigate to the next or previous page in your search results. This is very useful when you are giving a presentation and with to move through pages youÆve saved in SurfSaver. You can resize the Search Results window and simply click on the Next button to move through your pages.

      (Help)
      Displays the help page for the Search Results window.

      (Close)
      Removes the Search Results window. Your browser returns to a full screen display.

    Selecting Pages in the Search Results

    You can select a single page or multiple pages in the Search Results window. Selected pages can be: deleted, copied, moved, and more.
      To Select a Single Page:
        Use the mouse and click on the page you want to select.

        Right click the mouse to Edit, Delete, Copy, or Move the page. See the Right Click section for details.

      To Select a Multiple Pages:
        Use the mouse and click on the page you want to select.

        To select a second page, press and hold the CTRL key and then click on the second page.

        Both pages will be highlighted.

        If you press and hold the SHIFT key (rather than CTRL), the second page in the list will be highlighted and all pages between the first highlighted page and the second page will be highlighted.

        Right click the mouse to Delete, Copy, or Move the pages. See the Right Click section for details.

    Right Click Options

    Right click in the Search Results window to do any of the following to the selected page (or pages):
      EDIT
      Displays the Edit dialog. From this dialog you can edit the field information for the selected page. You can edit the title, keywords, notes, and date. You can move, copy, delete, go to the URL, copy the URL, and save the page as an HTML file. See Edit dialog for a complete description.

      SAVE AS HTML
      Saves the selected page as HTML. See the chapter on Saving as HTML for details.

      DELETE
      Deletes the page or pages from SurfSaver. IMPORTANT: Before deleting, make sure that you really want to delete. You cannot undelete a page.

      GO TO URL
      If you are connected to the Internet, this command accesses the URL and displays an updated version of the information.

      COPY URL
      Copies the URL (address of the Web page) to the windows clipboard. You can then copy it anywhere û for example into a word processing document or an email.

      COPY PAGE
      Lets you copy the page or pages from their current folder to another folder. If you copy a page, you will have two copies of the same page... one in each folder.

      MOVE PAGE
      Moves a page or pages from the current folder to another folder. If you move a page, it is deleted from the current folder and moved to a new folder.
